The Microtech MSI (Microtech Standard Issue) is a rugged, high-performance folding knife that introduced Microtech’s innovative RAM-LOK system. Released in 2023, this used model combines premium materials, versatile deployment options, and durable construction built for serious everyday use.

The 3.88″ modified sheepsfoot blade is crafted from Böhler M390MK stainless steel, offering excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and long-term toughness. The flat grind provides strong slicing performance, while the black DLC finish adds durability and a sleek, low-profile appearance.

Microtech’s RAM-LOK mechanism is a robust take on the crossbar-style lock, featuring the brand’s signature stepped texture inspired by the Ultratech’s actuator design. The large blade cutout allows multiple deployment methods, including thumb opening, reverse flick, or pulling back on the lock for smooth wrist-assisted opening.

The fluted carbon fiber handle offers a lightweight yet strong grip with a slightly tacky texture for confident control in various conditions. Stainless steel liners add strength, while the reversible stainless steel pocket clip supports left- or right-hand carry.
