The Canis features an unorthodox blade design with a straight cutting edge, reminiscent of a traditional Wharncliffe, but with narrower primary bevels. This unique grind positions the top of the bevel closer to the cutting edge, resulting in a reinforced point that surpasses the strength of conventional Wharncliffe blades.
Deep, hollow-ground bevels and a mid-blade swedge enhance the efficiency of the edge geometry, offering high performance, cutting power, and a reinforced point.
Crafted from CPM S30V stainless steel, the blade boasts a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for easy one-handed opening. Jimping above the hole ensures a non-slip thumb purchase, catering to users who prefer a saber grip. The handle, designed for maximum control, features flared ends, a hand-filling palm swell, and peel-ply-textured carbon fiber/G-10 laminate scales for a secure grip and striking aesthetics.
