At the center of the design is a 3.25″ drop point blade made from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, a well-regarded steel known for its excellent corrosion resistance, toughness, and easy maintenance. The blade features a flat grind and satin finish, providing efficient slicing performance along with a clean, classic look. A pointed tip, generous belly, and comfortable finger choil add versatility for a wide range of everyday cutting tasks.

Deployment is quick and satisfying thanks to dual thumb studs paired with a caged ceramic ball-bearing pivot system, delivering snappy action and a well-tuned detent. The Raccoon also features Vosteed’s button-operated top liner lock, combining the solid lockup of a liner lock with the convenient, fidget-friendly feel of a button lock.
